Jewel 'Candlelight' Lacy Shetland Scarf

A delicate light and lacy jewel colour knitted scarf.
This is my modern interpretation of a traditional Shetland lace scarf knitted in an original pattern called candlelight which can be traced back to the nineteeth century. I have brought it up to date using a modern laceweight yarn, eighty percent merino wool, which smoothly changed from deep purple, to bright turquiose to sea green.

I have knitted a simple glass bead to the end of each of the lacy points to add sparkle to this 4 oz scarf.
It will drape wonderfully around your neck and give warmth withour bulk and feel deliciously soft against your skin

Welcome to A Knit 4 All Seasons

First of all let me introduce myself.

My name is Bev and I have a hobby - Knitting, I know it sounds old fashioned but the things I create are far from that.
I love to create modern accessories as do my sister Linda and my niece Kersty, together we create anything for hats to modern tea cosies. All our creations are made by our own fair hands, we have considered a knitting machine, however the feel of wool between our fingers, and seeing a garment grow is too much fun to give it up to a machine.
By following us you will get to see our latest creations, find out where we exhibit and you can even ask us questions about our craft.
To view some of our creation you can visit our online shop
